About

Hi! My name is Marie, and I’m your foodaholic, travelholic, and craftaholic guide to my blog, Marie’s Kitchen.

Although I carry a Korean passport, I was born and raised in Malaysia where I studied in an international school. Now I’m a university student studying in the US. As a result of all this “culture-immersion”, I’ve come to appreciate and love all sorts of different cultures and their food (especially the food).

I’ll be sharing my food/travel/craft adventures here on this blog. I’m trying to establish a fairly regular routine for blogging, but sometimes I have nothing to write about, and sometimes I have so much to write about! I’ll try for once or twice a week.

If there are any recipes (or places?) that you guys want me to try out (or visit? Send me a plane ticket! πŸ˜€ ), feel free to comment below! Or any post, for that matter.

Signing off,
Marie

  1. Hey there. I love your blog. I suggest you visit the Philippines and try our different dishes and travel around. Cheers πŸ™‚

    • Sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment. Thank you for your kind words! I would love to go to the Philippines in the future; I really want to try balut! (I had a penchant for trying bizarre foods everywhere haha!)

  2. Hi- the apartment looks good and we are thinking of booking it. Some questions-
How can I book the apartment if the website is all in Korean? How can I get from Incheon airport to the apartment?

    • Well, do you have any friends that can speak Korean? Ordinarily this is how you would make a reservation…

Go to their website (samkyunghivil.co.kr), and then on the left, there should be an icon that looks like a lightbulb. Click on that – it’s the icon for Reservations. You would then have to sign up for an id, and then post a notice with your information on it.

Apparently that’s out of the question if you don’t speak/read Korean. I suggest you try calling the numbers on the left hand sidebar. Hopefully somebody in the office will be able to speak English.

Let me know if that helped!
